Kelly is the CEO and owner of Kelly Senior Consulting. She is a Licensed Practical Nurse and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Advanced Allied Health. She has taken the Assisted Living Facility (ALF) core training course which focuses on the rules, regulations and licensure of senior living as regulated by the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA). Kelly has also completed the course for becoming a Certified Dementia Practitioner, as offered through the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners.
Becoming a nurse has allowed Kelly to fulfill her passion of helping others in her community. While Kelly Senior Consulting is based in Brevard county Florida, the organization provides assistance both state- and nation-wide. Kelly has worked in all avenues of healthcare including Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Respite Care, In-home care (private duty and medical services), Hospice Care, Skilled Nursing, and Long Term Care.
Kelly began her career in direct patient care, after which she transitioned to the role of Nurse Care Manager - this position involved discharging patients from a skilled nursing facility with the components of case management. After some time, she would interact with these patients from the opposite end of the spectrum when she accepted a role working in the admissions department of a nursing home.
Given her career path as well as first-hand experience handling similar concerns with an elderly family member, Kelly realized that many residents and families are not aware of the community resources and financial support options available to them.
Finding a community that provides a higher level of care, while also matching their individual needs and daily living activities can be a stressful time for residents and families alike. Due to her personal and professional experiences with this, and with a desire to help those in similar situations, Kelly Senior Living Consultants was born - a free liaison service to residents and their families, which guides them with confidence on the journey of identifying, selecting, and transitioning to communities that offer a higher level of care that will keep them safe.
Veterans Benefits

Aid & Attendance Pension for Qualified Veterans
Understanding Aid and Attendance
The Veterans Administration established the Aid and Attendance pension in an effort to serve veterans in their time of need. The program offers financial support for assisted living care, based on the veteran’s time served, income history, and personal savings.
How it Works
In order for a veteran or a veteran’s surviving spouse to qualify for benefits, the veteran must have served at least 90 days of active duty, with a minimum of one day served during a wartime period.
The individual must require the regular attendance of another person to assist with activities of daily living: such as eating, bathing, or dressing/undressing.
Financial Benefits
The Aid and Attendance benefit is available to help offset the cost of assisted living, independent living, personal care, and in-home care. Benefits are paid directly to the veteran or spouse (not the residential care community), and are retroactive to the date of application. Pension categories include:
- Veterans and their spouse
- Veteran alone
- Surviving spouse of a veteran
